The Acetyls Business Unit is one of the world's leading manufacturers of acetic acid and its derivatives, and owns & deploys its leading technology in Europe, Asia and US.
This role leads the Asset Support team in Hull, providing services, expertise, assurance and support to the Asset teams to deliver safe, compliant, reliable and efficient operations over the short, medium and long term.
The role forms part of the Hull Site Leadership Team. The post holder will be accountable for the direct line management of 5 multi-disciplined roles, covering circa 50 Ineos staff as well as contract-based support. These roles deliver, TAR delivery and execution, process automation, maintenance, inspection and engineering technical authority.
Accountabilities:
- Uphold and promote the “INEOS 20 BEHAVIOURAL & PROCESS SAFETY PRINCIPLES” & “Life-Saving Rules” in all activities undertaken, including managing integrity
- Maintain Site Technical Authorities for Chemical, Mechanical and I/E Engineering discipline through the Inspection & Engineering Manager.
- Leadership of the site’s shared services execution strategy; encompassing planners, schedulers, and technician teams for the delivery of safe, timely and on-budget maintenance to the assets.
- Engineering Integrity management encompassing the UKAS accreditation, Meridium user base, RBI, and associated on and off-site inspection requirements.
- Engineering and assurance services in support of projects (AsCare) and asset modifications.
- Contract and performance management for bought-in services in support of R&M and TAR activities.
- Leadership of the site process automation team, supporting the assets and major projects.
Technical Skills:
- Proven, broad manufacturing/maintenance experience with areas of deep expertise in R&M/Projects/TAR roles within the Petrochemical or Refining industries.
- Experience with process safety requirements and the management of multi-disciplined technical authorities/design specialists.
- Understanding of maintenance strategies and integrity management principles.
- Understanding of Industrial Relations management.
- Contract strategy and performance management experience.
