Asset Management Manager EMEA (f/m/d)  (F/M/D)

Purpose / Role of the job

The incumbent shall work with the various members of the EMEA Operations team outlined below in an effort to develop and implement a 2-3 year roadmap for improving maintenance excellence, specifically with regard to reliability, availability overall equipment effectiveness, maintenance work execution and maintenance cost.  

Environment / Context / Complexity of the job

The incumbent shall be required to work with various parties across the EMEA operating sites and will need to interface with both INEOS Styrolution and Contract employees, both salaried and hourly.  This person will need to understand the various site requirements and limitations of the existing maintenance structure including but not limited to: Collective Bargaining Agreements, Service Level Agreements for guest sites, and past maintenance practices.  The job holder should be able to drive cultural change in the site without possessing direct line management of the teams.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities of the job

Implement upgraded processes, define/re-define roles and responsibilities and gain buy in from all levels of site management.

Assess and improve work prioritization, planning and scheduling, and associated maintenance work processes.

Drive site teams to develop bottom up maintenance budgeting based upon sound prioritization and execution of repair and reliability work.

The process led by the incumbent is results oriented and as such the success of this position is based primarily upon improving these bottom line metrics

Required profile

Level of education & Knowledge

  • B.S. / M.S. in science based degree (Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred)
  • 5 -10 years of chemical process/refining site experience

Experience in general

  • 5-10 years of leadership role on project teams
  • Good understanding of INEOS KPI metrics
  • Can readily separate minutia from the main issues

Technical skills

  • Must be proficient in CMMS (SAP PM Module), Microsoft Office Suite, Strongly proficient in the use and manipulation of Excel Workbooks
  • Good understanding of process workflows within the various INEOS Styrolution operating facilities

Competencies, Behavioral skills

  • Must be proficient in CMMS (SAP PM Module), Microsoft Office Suite, Strongly proficient in the use and manipulation of Excel Workbooks
  • Must be bi-lingual in at least 2 languages spoken within EMEA plants
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of scheduled workdays with majority of travel in Western Europe
  • Ability to influence change from craft level to senior site management
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance excellence processes including reliability centered maintenance
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and lead without direct line supervision

Performance Indicators

  • Identify and develop action plan for maintenance “bad actors”
  • Develop plan to increase “wrench” time to match 1st quartile performers
  • Change site maintenance processes from reactionary to predictive.
  • The incumbent must drive change across the various sites without true direct line responsibility for those involved.
  • Milestones for the various facets of the program will be developed and a standard set of reports generated.
