Asset Engineer I/E (various)

Location - Grangemouth

Salary - Up to £74k dependent on experience

Having committed to significant investment and remediation programme over the next few years, we require an Asset Engineer with relevant experience in regulatory compliance and the implementation of new and changing standards. You will play a key role in the delivery and support of our business, delivering and maintaining an I/E asset care policy to meet asset SHE, availability and cost targets.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement plans to improve the HSE, integrity and reliability performance of the I/E equipment on the asset
  • Define and implement asset care policy for all I/E equipment (including ESD/DCS systems) to meet business HSE, availability and cost targets.
  • Define all asset I/E engineering standards, procedures and practices to ensure full compliance with legislative and site engineering and integrity requirements.
  • Specify and audit all inspection activities to ensure continual legal compliance.
  • Provide discipline expertise to Licensing / other sites: equipment development, design reviews and audits for all new sites, developing and delivering training to new site personnel,
  • Maintain asset spares and equipment holding to maximise asset reliability and to drive maintenance and TAR efficiency / cost performance.
  • Provide discipline expertise and root cause analysis in troubleshooting asset vulnerabilities to minimise impact on the short through long term operating plan.
  • Provide discipline expertise for all asset improvement projects and act as formal discipline sign off to ensure required level of service delivery.
  • Ensure correct overall I/E spend to meet asset requirements within available budget and where required, drive appropriate prioritisation.
  • Specify TAR work scope requirements (in accordance with asset strategy) to the TAR Leader and assist in execution to support delivery of TARs safely, on time and to budget.
  • Coach all relevant asset Operations and support personnel to ensure sufficient competence to effectively execute their core roles and generate enhanced service delivery to the business.

Education/ Experience

  • Degree qualified Chartered I/E engineer (or in process of gaining chartership).
  • Experience in operations, projects, TAR and reliability improvement in a petrochemicals and polymers / solids handling environment
  • Experienced in managing equipment reliability systems and processes e.g. asset care.
  • In depth knowledge of instrument and electrical design principles
  • Strong understanding of discipline legislative and technology requirements and demonstrated ability to apply to equipment inspection/maintenance regimes.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
