About the Opportunity
We are looking to recruit an experienced technician to perform routine laboratory analysis for our manufacturing assets. Our teams of analytical technicians work in a laboratory that analyses samples 365 days a year using a two-shift pattern allowing the lab to operate from 06:30 and 22:30. In return you’ll receive a competitive base salary plus a generous shift allowance.
The role involves testing of feedstock, process and final product samples against defined specifications enabling the manufacturing assets to maintain operations and final products to be sold.
About you
Possessing 'A' levels, HNC or equivalent, including a significant chemistry element, you will already be experienced in laboratory operations and routine analysis such as Karl Fischer, freezing point, pH measurement, titration, chromatography. Although not essential, we are keen to hear from you if you have experience in elemental analysis, spectroscopy, environmental analysis, or industrial hygiene including personnel monitoring.
Some aspects of the role require access to plant areas which require high level access so a head for heights is necessary. Forklift truck operation is also required, and training will be provided.
