The Position: Americas Logistics Manager -This position is responsible for ensuring the cost effective, on time shipment of polymer products across a complex network of owned manufacturing sites, third party toll manufacturers, warehouses and trans-loading facilities while minimizing our fixed and variable costs and maximizing customer satisfaction.

What you will do:

  • Lead the annual and strategic planning process for INEOS Styrolution’s freight and warehouse assets.
  • Ensure the infrastructure required to support the operating businesses is developed and implemented (fleet size, storage yards, maintenance, inspection and cleaning programs, systems, car/truck specifications, etc.)
  • Lead/execute improvement projects to ensure continual improvement of service and cost.
  • Ensure the proper KPIs and progress reporting for the function as a whole. 
  • Ensure the Polymer Team is capable of executing logistics strategies in support of business group and corporate strategies. This includes:
    • Establishing an effective organization design
    • Developing and controlling area budget and personnel matters
    • Establishing and implementing professional standards and skills including SHE standards
    • Working with various teams to ensure IT systems in place are effectively utilized
  • Ensure INEOS Styrolution fully meets SHE and regulatory obligations and is in compliance with all regulatory agencies that apply to this function.
  • Represent/promote INEOS Styrolution through participation in industry and community activities.
  • Ensure that the distribution infrastructure required to support the operating businesses is developed and implemented (terminals, carrier base, systems, etc.).
  • Ensure distribution risks are properly planned for and mitigated
  • Manage the operational logistics function including:
    • Overall accountability for execution of outbound shipments from all Americas shipping locations
    • Planning, ordering, and receipt of all packaged raw materials at polymer manufacturing sites
    • invoice payment
    • claims management

What you will bring:

Level of education & knowledge:

  • BS degree in supply chain management, operations management, business administration or related field with MBA preferred.
  • Seasoned Professional with a minimum of 15 years related experience and 5 in a managerial position.

Experience in general:

  • Strong background in logistics management
  • Extensive negotiation experience
  • Knowledge of complete supply chain from production to delivery

Technical skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize data into a clear, concise picture/message or call to action.
  • Working knowledge of distribution regulations throughout North America.
  • CPIM - APICS or related professional certification beneficial.
  • Strong leadership, facilitation of positive change, communications, team building, and conflict resolution skills a must.

The Location: This opportunity is located in Aurora, Illinois, only 5 miles from downtown Naperville.
