About The Role

The INEOS Air Separation Unit (ASU) is a 650 TPD facility with four pipelines, a 150 TPD Liquifier and Cryogenic Argon. The Superintendent is responsible for leading, directing, and motivating ASU operators, contractors and commercial associates to achieve the highest safety standards, top line growth, EBITDA performance and operational excellence. They have profitability responsibility for the ASU operation. This is a salaried exempt, day shift position. It is classified as a Safety Critical role.

Key activities include:

  • Maintain the safe performance of all Operators including compliance with SHE Guidelines and Plant Safety Rules
  • Manage for organic top line growth; may have responsibility for key customer accounts
  • Execute plans and strategies designed to meet and exceed customer needs.
  • Responsibility for the profitability of the ASU
  • Interact with the Utility/Operations Manager to ensure clear communication of department goals and direction of the work group
  • Communicate operational problems or deficiencies that may result in a potential safety concern or negatively impact the system operation or quality
  • Execute on plans to achieve KPI targets
  • Responsible for developing the ASU’s business core strategy
  • Optimize profit margins through execution of plans and strategies
  • Prospect and generate new business development including a blend of cold calls, trade show, internal/external sources and additional demand relative to existing customers
  • Utilize presentation of business case and influencing skills to achieve customer buy-in
  • Monitor in-process product quality to make necessary adjustments to meet production targets
  • Plan and complete financial actions in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned

About You

You should possess:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in any of the following disciplines; Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Sales Management or Engineering preferred
  • Possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience in manufacturing, utilities, business management, marketing or military
  • Proven goal achievement and good performance
  • Ability to effectively manage and supervise a technical organization to maintain high levels of responsibility
  • Knowledge of the Process Safety Management regulation, specifically Management of Change, Quality Control and PHA processes.
  • Highly developed knowledge of technical information systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Leadership/management skills
  • Functionality with various computer programs, specifically Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
  • Six Sigma training a plus

Schedule/Hours

This is a salaried exempt day shift position. Normal work hours are from 0700 - 1530 with on-call responsibilities 24 hours per day.
