The O&P USA business includes the product lines Ethylene, Propylene, Butadiene, Polypropylene and Polyethylene.  Manufacturing sites include Chocolate Bayou Works (Alvin, TX), Battleground Manufacturing Complex (LA Porte, TX), and Carson, (Carson, CA), with a division office in League City, TX.

How the Role Fits in: 

The Administrative Assistant has accountability for providing primary office and administrative support to the Turnaround Manager in O&P USA. The role supports company operations by implementing administrative systems, procedures, and record keeping while monitoring administrative projects in the area of Turnarounds.

 Responsibilities AND Accountabilities

  • Record keeping and document control for the group including developing and utilizing appropriate filing and retrieval systems
  • Coordination and organization of meetings, conference calls, etc.
  • Information requests – provide accounting and management information reports as requested
  • Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, recordkeeping systems, forms control, approvals routing and materials procurement.
  • Preparation of presentation materials (PowerPoint, etc. for periodic updates to O&P Board). Produces information, reports  and communications as required by Turnaround Manager
  • Preparation of correspondence and communications to external parties as required
  • Manage information and data of a confidential nature with discretion
  • Develop and implement work processes  designed to achieve greater efficiency and cost savings
  • Prepare and submit Purchase Requisitions
  • Travel arrangements and Travel and Entertainment expense report preparation and processing
  • Creation and maintenance of distribution lists for various User groups

Other duties in support of the Turnaround Department as assigned

Skills & Knowledge Required

Education/Experience

Experience:

At least 2 years of previous administrative assistance experience

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
