- Key Result Areas :
General ledger Accounting
Major Activities:
- Independently proceed daily accounting and book-keeping. Maintain documentary evidence for compliance purposes
- Perform monthly-end and year-end closing activities on time and accurately
c. Suggest the proper accounting way to book all transactions
d. Investigate and resolve issues that disrupt accounting and month-end closing. These are not standard and require a wide breadth of knowledge to address. Problems can arise from IT or system matters, process timing, operational, regulatory, communication issues, etc.
e. Review and communicate financial results with Manager, R&A China and regional.
f. Prepare all statutory and regulatory reports on monthly and quarterly basis to CIRC, SAFE, PBOC, SIA, etc.
g. Participate in the proactively adapt to changing business environments and propose revision of accounting processes and procedures accordingly
h. Manage monthly payroll accounting and ensure strong controls over salary payments
i. Prepare the Acct Reconciliation files by quarterly basis and review the general ledgers with stakeholders to ensure all records are in compliance with local GAAP and IFRS.
j. Keep updated on China laws changes, ensure that all statutory reports comply with laws.
k. Report unusual transactions, trends or variations and communicate findings to the manager.
l. Support to optimize structures and processes, and help the R&A team run efficiently.

Company financial results are reliable, complete and accurately prepared.

Reporting
Major Activities:
a. Prepare all financial statements and management reports in line with Styrolution group and also local Chinese accounting standards.
b. Analytical review of B/S and P/L, and report findings to Manager
c. Maintain accurate GL masterdata to ensure reliable reporting and booking.
d. Investigate and communicate issues that business colleagues may have raised
e. Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses when requested. Eg, NWC, CO vs FI
Outcome:
Businesses and Controlling team have timely and reliable information to make decisions; all regulatory and internal reporting requirements are met.
- Key Result Areas :
Tax filing and Tax Compliance
Major Activities:
- Independently prepare the tax calculation sheet, VAT reconciliation sheet and process the tax filing (Monthly: VAT, Stamp Duty, additional tax, Export VAT return filing need declare by month Quarterly: Corporate income tax provision and prepay)
- Support the Tax specialty to complete the Yearly Corporate income tax return
- Prepare the tax report required by Tax authority eg, Forecasting, Statistics, analysis.
b. Work through and support to explain findings to tax authorities and Tax specialty.
c. Assist to Implement proposed recommendations and ensure compliance
d. Prepare the Quarterly Tax Rate Reconciliation for Global control purpose.
Outcome:
Accurate tax filings and compliance with the government tax requirement
- Key Result Areas :
Internal/External Audit
Major Activities:
a. Coordinate the whole process of internal and external auditors with accurate and reliable information for audit requirements
b. Ensure audit is performed effectively and efficiently, and respond to audit inquires..
c. According to audit results, provide feedback for audit recommendations and changes to operational processes to improve controls
d. Take the ownership for audit report documentation and filings.
Outcome:
Achieve the no objection result of the audit. Improve control and compliance
- Key Result Areas:
Ad hoc projects
Major Activities:
a. Contribute as Asian team representative in various global projects e.g. Vision 2025 by providing analyses and reports, proposing solutions to address issues, evaluating other’s proposals, etc.
b. Assist the manager and Global to identify and implement process improvement and efficiencies, and harmonization.
c. Support on IT development. Eg, New business process testing, SAP HANA testing, etc.
Outcome:
Cross-county tasks and global projects are comprehensively reviewed and well implemented
