The Position: Accountant AP -Under minimal supervision, the incumbent is responsible for a wide variety of accounting transaction entries related to invoice processing. Individuals must be able to adapt to a demanding environment with ever-changing priorities.
What you will do:
- Process US non-freight invoices ensuring proper approval has been obtained
- Responsible for Accounts Payable inquiry email inbox daily
- Ability to process 80 or more invoices in the SAP workflow on a daily basis
- Work with Procurement to identify and resolve invoice discrepancies. (ie pricing, quantity and GR)
- Identifies processing inefficiencies and takes corrective action to resolve.
- Demonstrate analytical skills / attention to details
- Ensure internal control compliance, risk management and compliance procedures are followed
- Review the GRIR analysis report
- Process journal entries – ensure proper approval & backup is provided
- Develop relationships necessary to accomplish key objectives of the role with diplomacy, perseverance and flexibility
- Compiling, sorting, and substantiating business transactions and reconciling vendor statements
- Dealing with confidential information
- Assist team with monthly and yearly close
What you will bring:
Level of education & knowledge:
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience in general:
- 5+ years of Accounts Payable or Accounting equivalent
- 1+ years of Logistics Accounts Payable a plus
Technical skills:
- SAP, OCR System, Microsoft Office

- The ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner (both verbal and written) and to accurately hear and understand and unspoken or partly expressed thoughts, feelings and concerns of others. In addition, it describes the ability to use the right communication tool in critical situations and to communicate in a matter that helps all parties understand the views and thoughts of others.
- The ability to adapt one’s own approach to a changing environment, different roles and situations. Shows an open attitude to new things and an understanding of the need for change. At a higher level drives and leads the change processes in order to achieve lasting business success.
- The ability to work in a team environment and work collaboratively with others towards mutual objectives.
- The ability to identify key issues and relationships, patterns and connections buried in mass data. This includes systematic comparisons of different aspects, and identifying time sequences, cause-effect and if-then relationships.
The Location: This opportunity is located in Aurora, Illinois, only 5 miles from downtown Naperville.
