Organizational Context and Job Purpose

INEOS Nitriles is a global chemicals business with sales volume of 1200 kte and revenue in excess of $3 billion.  The Nitriles business has 2 manufacturing operations in the US and 1 in Europe along with offices and headquarters in Rolle, Switzerland and Aurora, Illinois near Chicago. The Nitriles Business primary products include acrylonitrile, hydrogen cyanide, and acetonitrile.  Additionally, Nitriles also has a manufacturing operation that produces catalyst for internal use at the Lima Site, globally within Ineos, and for other Acrylonitrile producers. The INEOS Nitriles Plant at Lima is part of an industrial campus which includes a refinery and chemical complex. INEOS share services, utilities, products, and feedstocks with four adjacent manufacturing facilities:  Nutrien (ammonia, urea, nitric acid), Fort Amanda Specialties (chelates), Ashland (1,4-butanediol), and Cenovus Refining (propylene, fuels, and refined oil products).

The Total Quality Management System shall be incorporated into all job activities.  All job activities should be executed in a safe and efficient manner consistent with the INEOS 20 Principles.

Responsibilities AND Accountabilities

Accountability 1:  Profitable sales growth in targeted product/market/segment/customers by:

  • Identifying primary targets
  • Developing key relationships in all functions at the customer
  • Identifying customer expectations and matching them to Ineos capabilities
  • Using internal systems to make the offer and to negotiate with customer
  • Successfully negotiate sales agreements
  • Being point person for contract administration (for your accounts)

Accountability 2:  Meet annual objectives to deliver volumes and margins for their assigned territory by:

  • Timely input of realistic forecasts, with systems proficiency
  • Proactively monitor results and take required action, and/or make recommendations to management for corrective action
  • Identify market conditions and competitive activity affecting plan delivery
  • Accurate monthly pricing and timely communication to customers

Accountability 3:  Develop/maintain strong customer relationships, to increase customer loyalty, satisfaction, and retention:                     

  • Become a critical resource of information to the customer  
  • Anticipate customer needs/concerns and develop timely solutions
  • Be proactive to market conditions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Encourage INEOS to provide an “easy to do business with environment”
  • Utilize INEOS resources appropriately to continuously create value in the customer relationship

Accountability 4:  Ensure customer responsibilities of relationship are met through:

  • Accurate and timely input of forecasts/order placement
  • Payment of invoices within established terms
  • Increase utilization of rail fleet, by ensuring timely release of railcars from customer’s facilities.

Skills & Knowledge Required

In compliance with INEOS COVID protocols, you must be fully vaccinated (2 weeks past your last dose of COVID vaccine) prior to your start date.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years relevant industry experience
  • 2+ years in business facing role, such as tech service, CSR, or procurement

Expected Salary Range:

$105,800.00 - $125,700.00 based on skills and experience
