The Role: We are looking for a talented Supplier compliance and sustainability (ESG) LEAD who will cover all Compliance, ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) and CSR (Corporate Social responsibility) related topics with regards to our supplier base by setting up a purchasing policy, the related processes and tools as well as supporting the supervising of our supply base and the associated risks in order to take our governance and compliance approach to the next level.

What you will be doing:

  • Initiate, develop and lead the project for the implementation of a holistic ESG, CSR & Compliance approach.
  • Support internal and external audits where relevant.
  • Create and implement CSR/ESG and compliance policies for suppliers.
  • Implement a business process to incorporate environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) requirements as part of the sourcing activities together with the relevant Managers.
  • Provide support and training for employees, support suppliers with regards to inquiries on ESG.
  • Set targets for sustainability and implement required reporting. Monitor target achievement and drive counter measure implementation.
  • Monitor compliance issues and audit results and drive remediation across the process teams
  • Develop external networks for additional insight, to benchmark own activities, and to identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor the actual and future legislation and also state of the art business practices with regards to sustainability and compliance.
  • Contribute to CSR strategy and policy decisions and lead effective compliance program procedures.
  • Enable the Procurement Organization by giving assistance and insight with regards to compliance programs / issues

What you will bring:

  • Diploma or master’s degree in business administration/economics, or industrial engineering and management.
  • Extensive demonstrable work experience in the industry sector, preferably automotive, e.g. in Procurement, supplier management and/or compliance/ESG management and project management
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of modern governance and reporting, risk and control frameworks
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record in prioritising tasks and having effective time management and analytical skills in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Results oriented, make things happen, leads others and is open for change.
  • Able to manage stakeholder expectations and find consent. Able to effectively communicate risk and compliance information to a broad audience.
