2022 Engineering Graduates (location: Belgium)

INEOS is a global manufacturer of petrochemicals. It comprises 36 businesses, each with a major chemical company heritage. INEOS’s production network spans throughout the world, 194 sites across 29 countries, generating an annual turnover of around $60 billion.

After 20 years establishing itself as one of the world’s leading chemical companies, INEOS continues to grow. Through strategic acquisitions and revitalising otherwise unloved assets, the business has flourished in an ever-changing, increasingly competitive marketplace.

Last year INEOS bought BP’s global Aromatics and Acetyls business and a new global healthcare business named INEOS Hygienics was launched. This business produces hospital grade hand gels, sanitiser sprays for hands and surfaces and sanitiser wipes, available for the home and to the public.

The INEOS Hygienics’ business was created during the pandemic when medical professionals desperately needed hand sanitiser and INEOS built six factories each in under ten days to produce millions of bottles to supply hospitals free of charge.

INEOS products make a significant contribution to saving life, improving health and enhancing standards of living for people around the world. Our businesses produce the raw materials that are essential in the manufacture of a wide variety of goods: from paints to plastics, textiles to technology, medicines to mobile phones - chemicals manufactured by INEOS enhance almost every aspect of our modern life.

Sustainability is fundamental to how we do business, using innovative ideas and processes to increase capacity, while reducing energy used in the petrochemical processes.

The Engineering Graduate Opportunity

We are a unique, non-hierarchical organisation giving graduates direct access to senior management. If you thrive on a challenge and are prepared to push yourself, then INEOS’ open and direct approach to business will give you the opportunity to develop quickly, in a real job with real responsibilities from day one.

INEOS has 10 manufacturing sites in Belgium, 6 in the Antwerp region, with others in Feluy, Geel and Jemeppe. These manufacture products for 7 different INEOS businesses - Oxide, Olefins & Polymers, Phenol, Oligomers, Inovyn, Aromatics and Styrolution. There are a number of vacancies at these sites for a variety of engineering disciplines. We recruit from all major disciplines including chemical, mechanical, electrical & instrument, and process control.

As an engineering graduate, you will be part of our Graduate Programme, which ensure you are developed and progressed, typically over a 5-year period.

Engineers are at the very heart of our business. We have multiple opportunities and can offer progression to all. Whether you are an engineer who wants to specialise in a particular technical discipline, or who wants to take on management responsibility, we want to hear from you. Those of you who aspire to senior positions such as Asset or Plant Managers and Operations Directors (a board role) will need to move between INEOS businesses and countries, to develop the broad expertise and knowledge required to lead.

You enter the engineering graduate program by applying for a graduate engineering vacancy. Is there at this moment no suitable vacancy for you, then you can apply spontaneously for this vacancy. You will be kept informed of interesting opportunities.
