INEOS is a global manufacturer of petrochemicals. It comprises 36 businesses; each with a major chemical company heritage. INEOS’s production network spans throughout the world, 194 sites across 29 countries, generating an annual turnover of around $60 billion.
After 20 years establishing itself as one of the world’s leading chemical companies, INEOS continues to grow. Through strategic acquisitions and revitalising otherwise unloved assets, the business has flourished in an ever-changing, increasingly competitive marketplace.
In 2020 INEOS bought BP’s global Aromatics and Acetyls business and a new global healthcare business named INEOS Hygienics was launched. This business produces hospital grade hand gels, sanitiser sprays for hands and surfaces and sanitiser wipes, available for the home and to the public.
The INEOS Hygienics’ business was created during the pandemic when medical professionals desperately needed hand sanitiser and INEOS built six factories each in under ten days to produce millions of bottles to supply hospitals free of charge.

If you are interested in a business role, then our five-year European Commercial Graduate Programme is for you. The programme is designed to give you a breadth of experience early in your career. Based throughout some of our UK and European sites (Germany, France, Belgium) you will typically move roles every two years – this will involve moving between countries, different INEOS businesses, and functions. Hence being geographically flexible is essential. Each role will provide you with a new challenge and enable you to gain a wide range of experience and networks essential for aspiring future leaders. We believe in a rewarding place to work and we encourage a proper work-life balance and place a large emphasis on “healthy body, healthy mind”.
Some of the different areas you could work in include: Supply Chain, Logistics, Trading & Shipping, Procurement, Operations and Business Development.
UK salary £36,000 / Competitive local salary if based in Europe. Benefits package and annual bonus included.
The Requirements
To be considered for the scheme, you will need a minimum of a 2:1 degree (or equivalent for outside of the UK applicants), ideally in a numerate, technical, engineering or science related subject, along with:
- Commercial interest and aptitude
- The ability to work under pressure, with confidence
- A drive for action, initiative and delivery - a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Flexibility and mobility during the programme
We consider recent graduates with up to two years relevant work experience.
