EU Customer Service Manager C3D

Your Role

As EU Customer Service Manager (m/f/d) – C3D, you will play a key role in leading our European Customer Service team for the Phenol and Nitriles activities.

You ensure a smooth order-to-invoice process, drive the development of your team, and continuously build a high-performing, customer-focused organization.

 

Responsabilities & accountabilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and manage a team of approx. 8 employees across 2 locations (functional and disciplinary responsibility)
  • Build a strong “One Team” culture across sites
  • Develop, coach, and motivate team members
  • Ensure effective collaboration between Cologne and Gladbeck

 

Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Ensure excellent service quality and high customer satisfaction
  • Work closely with Sales, Logistics, Finance, and other stakeholders
  • Manage escalations and ensure sustainable resolution of complex issues

 

Processes & Quality

  • Take ownership of the full order-to-invoice process
  • Ensure compliance with regulations (export, customs, dangerous goods, ISO)
  • Optimize and harmonize processes and tools

 

Continuous Improvement & Projects

  • Initiate and implement improvement projects
  • Define and manage relevant KPIs
  • Collaborate closely with management on complex topics

 

 

Skills & Knowledge required

  • University degree with several years of experience, or vocational training with extensive relevant experience
  • Proven experience in team leadership and change management
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and SAP
  • Experience in Customer Service / Order-to-Invoice environments
  • Experience in an international business context
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Resilience and ability to make decisions under pressure
  • Strong focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
