The Sales Manager role within INEOS KOH is an experienced sales professional with extensive product and market knowledge. This individual will collaborate closely with customers, their peer group (which is comprised of two additional sales managers in North America), Customer Service, a KOH Business Coordinator, the Finance, Supply Chain and Quality Teams, along with the Commercial Manager. The jobholder will be expected to understand, contribute to and execute INEOS KOH’s commercial strategy.
Accountability 1: Drive SHE Excellence
Most important activities:
- Perform work safely and without recordable injuries.
- Observe, understand, and respect the 7 Life-Saving Rules and the 20 Safety Principles
- Have meaningful conversations at least quarterly with internal stakeholders and/or customers about the 7 LSR and 20 Principals.
Accountability 2: Deliver on annual Sales Budget and follow strategy guidelines:
Most important activities:
- Work with all internal stakeholders to maximize contribution margin and meet or exceed budget expectations for financial metrics through volume and sales price optimization.
- Follow sales strategies as defined by Commercial Manager
- Follow INEOS KOH processes for commercial tasks such as new account set-up, pricing management, sales forecasting, and contracting.
- Anticipateproducts seasonality and manage sales plan accordingly.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers.
Accountability 3: Invoicing & Payment
Most important activities:
- Follow internal policies regarding payment terms, such as not agreeing to higher than 30 days net without prior approval from Enterprises board.
- Work with Accounts Receivable to establish and maintain appropriate credit limits per customer and ensure customers pay invoices on time, in full (OTIF).
Accountability 4: Market Information
Most important activities:
- Possesse extensive knowledge of INEOS KOH product line, customer end use applications and revelant market conditions.
- Provide market information internally in the form of Weekly Updates (via email) to Commercial Manager for consolidation and escalation to upper management.
Accountability 4: Ensure Full Compliance & Protect INEOS’ interests
Most important activities:
- Observe anti-trust rules.
- Follow INEOS KOH internal contracting procedures when negotiating and reviewing commercial agreement terms and conditions, contracts, and proposals to protect INEOS business interests and deliver business targets.
- Maintain accessible database of all active signed agreements and other commercially relevant documents.
- Follow internal approval procedures for pricing, customer credits, invoice adjustments, and as applicable DOA authorization’s in a timely manner.
- Follow INEOS KOH travel policies including pre-authorization for expenditures, reimbursement submissions and adherence to annual budget targets.
