The Mechnical Engineering Co-op supports Plant Operations as a part of the Reliability Group. Additionally, they will assist reliability engineers with projects relating to equipment mechanical design, materials selections, root cause failure analysis, and equipment troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Students will work full time on site (40 hrs/week)
- Work mechanical reliability projects as assigned by Reliability leadership.
- Maintain a record of completed tasks and provide a monthly report to the Reliability leadership.
- For at least one project, present findings and conclusions to management.
- Actively participate in the INEOS Pigments Group Safety programs
Typical Potential Assignments
- Inspection of failed equipment and development of repair plans.
- Investigation into equipment failures or equipment under-performance and design of potential solutions.
- Review and evaluation of vendor equipment information.
- Preparation of work packages for the maintenance group.
- Review of operating data to identify top reliability issues.
- Participation on reliability teams.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a credited Mechanical Engineering curriculum
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA or better
- Good verbal and written communication skills
