Key Accountabilities

(Including but not limited to):

  • To ensure that all equipment on the line is operating correctly and efficiently.
  • Perform basic autonomous maintenance activities, including but not exclusive to cleaning, eliminating sources of contamination and ensuring Cleaning, Inspection, Lubrication and Tightening processes are adhered to by all members of the team.
  • Perform advanced autonomous maintenance activities including Kaizen and variability reduction. Supervise minor planned, preventative maintenance activities.
  • To carry out appropriate frontline maintenance to maintain and improve the equipment performance and maximise product output whilst maintaining product quality.
  • Setting up and maintaining the machines at the beginning of the product run and throughout.
  • Ensure the machines run to optimum efficiency by investigating downtime and ensuring corrective action is implemented
  • Proactively identify and resolve any issues with the machines to ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Overseeing line activity, by ensuring all aspects of the line are running at the correct pace.

About You:

We are seeking an experienced Production Line Setter. Additionally, the following are requirements for the role:

  • Basic mechanical / electrical aptitude, preferably within automated / high speed manufacturing environment.
  • Manufacturing experience, preferably gained in an FMCG environment.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement methods such as Lean, Six Sigma, 5s and Kaizen, preferable applied in a manufacturing / production environment.
  • Positive and proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Capable of critical and analytical thinking to identify and support continuous improvement activities.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Understanding and application of SHE principles
