The multidiscipline Technology Support Team is based in Hull, UK, and provides INEOS Acetyls with technology development, asset optimisation and engineering design for growth projects, including the recently announced world scale acetic acid and derivatives plants on US Gulf coast.
About the Opportunity
The Mechanical Engineer in the Technology Support Team provides mechanical engineering knowledge in support of safe and reliable operations, growth projects and new technology developments.
In this role, you will be a mechanical engineering discipline leader, for 26 INEOS Acetyls plants worldwide. You will provide mechanical engineering skills throughout the engineering and construction stages of major projects for both retrofit and new build opportunities.
The position offers the opportunity to work as part of an expert team of talented engineers and chemists, to travel internationally, and to make a material contribution to the generation of new value for the INEOS Acetyls business.
About you
You will be a Chartered Engineer with a degree in mechanical engineering, with extensive industry experience, preferably in the Petrochemicals industry.

- Experience in equipment specification, selection, and efficient problem resolution for major capital projects, working with engineering contractors, plant engineers
- Ability to build strong collaborative relationships across organisations and with third parties such as JV partners, vendors and engineering contractors
- Ability to deliver root cause failure investigation skills related to engineering problems in the petrochemical environment
You will be a team player with experience of working in and managing the activities of multidiscipline teams and proven interpersonal skills including the ability to influence without formal authority and work across different cultures.
